Back for my 4th year hosting a panel at Comic Con Africa, and I’m, as always, very grateful and super excited.
My session is really aimed at upping your communication skills to a superpower. Face it, we’ve lost the ability to connect with people and hold rich conversations or interactions with somebody else.
If you plan on being a content creator, there is no better way to fail than by approaching conversation as anything but a 1st priority.
Here are the details. I’ll see you there. And let’s TALK! Let me be your guide. Your “gift of gab,” Jimminy Cricket.

I am the Final Year Radio Production Practices, 1st – 3rd Year Radio Broadcasting, and Podcasting modules at Boston Media House Sandton. Under my company brand Chris Jordan Media: • Focusing on targeting and consulting vernacular community stations as clientele to 1, pinpoint a market that no one has been attending to, and 2, make sure I exposed myself to a barrier of breaking the stereotype that no matter my creed, I can easily understand, connect, and contribute value to radio advancement across language, culture and lifestyle lines. Some are Ekhuruleni FM, MCRS FM, Alex FM, Pheli FM, and Tuks FM. • • Publishing the 2 broadcasting textbooks and an audiobook “Radio 1 on 1: 25 of the Most Asked Questions in Radio Broadcasting (used by over 40 community stations in SA with the partnership of SRN’s Charita van der Berg). The academic textbook “A Word on Radio” is the 1st commercially published book (By Edge Publishing, 2014) on broadcasting by an SA author and was used by Boston Media House as well as other independent media colleges in South Africa for 5 agreed-upon years.”

Topic: The Art of Conversation in the Realm of New Media
Speaker/s: Chris Jordan
Topic Description: “In 2025, EVERYONE is a content creator. Only about 7% of those are good content creators. The art of conversation is lost, for many reasons, primarily because the world wants to be heard but does not want to listen. As a veteran broadcaster, I have learnt every aspect of being able to conduct, sustain, and add value to conversation and communication with literally anyone. I want to be able to share a revisit to how a creator digital or otherwise, should approach meaningful interactions with the world around them, pursue niche angles, and curate curiosity from a bird’s eye view of the ecosystem you live in – to create brand content that will live longer than 90 seconds in a consumer’s life.”
